There are countless articles nowadays explaining how to create Web applications and build your financial empire to become the next rock star/ninja/cowboy sensation. Unfortunately there has been a famine on what you do once you have those 10,000 customers using your Next Best Web app. Who takes care of them? This is why I'm grateful for Community Manager Appreciation Day and how it shines a spotlight on those who take care of community.
At ENTP we all pitch in on support, but the backbone of our community support is Will Duncan. You've probably talked to him if you've had praise or a problem for Lighthouse or Tender. He sleeps with one eye open, always on the alert for any problems with our system that would affect our applications up-time. It's a hard job being front and center when mail delivery issues crop up for Tender or our storage solution for Lighthouse decides it wants to stop processing attachments.
So, today we offer hugs and handpounds to Will and all Community Managers for keeping the machine running smoothly.
