Introducing Companies and the User Inbox

We just rolled out an update to Tender Support which includes two new features and a little bit of style polish to the supporter dashboard.

So what's new?

  • Companies
  • User Inboxes

For more details on the new features, please continue reading.

Companies

The Companies feature allows you to add a company that groups users together, creating a shared discussion environment.

Companies 01

Once a user has accepted their company invite, they have access to the other company member discussions and can even invite others to join their company.

Companies 02

We are really excited about Tender sites that have products and services shared between groups of people who will benefit from this feature.

The User Inbox

The User Inbox gives a user one click access to all their support discussions. What's even cooler is that comes stock with a counter that displays the user's unread discussions count.

User Inbox 01

From a user perspective, it's a huge win. They can simply click the Inbox icon and see all of their unread discussions right away.

User Inbox 02

Inside the Inbox UI, a user can toggle between unread and all discussions. If they are a member of a company, an additional option is added that will let them view their company discussions.

One more thing...

In the coming days we'll be rolling out a new filtering feature. This will allow you to create custom filters that organize discussions in your Tender site automatically. It will also be coupled with simplified discussion states for the supporter dashboard. Stay tuned!

Yea nice updates! Especially the inbox seems like a very good idea, because customers were asking a lot where they could find their own tickets.

    Great job, keep rocking!

Thanks a million for these improvements.

We’ve been beta testing the companies feature for a week or so. FYI, our customers are clamoring for the ability to opt-in to email updates for all discussions for their company. I hope you’ll consider enabling such functionality one way or another.

    Cheers!

So do we need to create a Company if we use Tender for support? I think I’m a little confused by who benefits from this. Everyone in our “Support Staff” has access to all discussions already. So is this a benefit for our users?

    Thanks!!!

    @Matt

Companies are for your users. You create the company and invite the first user, and they can invite other members.

It allows all members of a company to see their common issues, private or public.

Filters are going to be a big help to us, I think. Anxiously awaiting…

The Companies feature will be fantastic for us, we deal with a small number of companies who have quite a few staff, all of whom want access to their company’s tickets.

Can the companies feature integrate with Single Sign On?
