A widget for your Tender install

Widgets seem to be all the rage lately, and we’re not one to be left out of the fun. If you log into your Tender account and go to the Admin -> Extras section, you’ll find a link to embed a widget into your application.

Widget

The widget will allow your customers to post issues and find Knowledge Base articles right from within your site. The widget by default comes with a tab (that shows up on the right hand side) to open it up, but if you’d like to build in your own trigger, you can find instructions on the Widget page to use your own trigger.

You can see the widget in action in Lighthouse. Just go ahead and click the upper right Help icon and play around with it!

Sorry for being off topic but I’m curious – how do I make my Firefox look as sexy as yours?

    Hey Mikkel,

Check out these beautiful themes for Firefox:

Mikkel – not sure as to the exact theme, but try the Grapple collection. They give the Safari look.

    Hi guys,

Great widget, but it seems to be breaking the pages I include it in, using IE7.

The page fails to load, with an ‘Operation aborted’ dialog message.

I’m not sure if it’s not playing nicely with my existing code (have you tested it next to Google Analytics js for example?), but removing your JS stops the problem.

    Any ideas?!

As an aside …. where’s the Tender support page for Tender? ;)

Hey Jon: The support page for tender is over at http://help.tenderapp.com (we’re updating the marketing site right now to make it a bit clearer). We have tried it in IE7, and with Google Analytics (Lighthouse for example), but I’d definitely be interested in any specifics you could point out so we can track down the problem.

Hey. I love the new widget, it’s going to work well with our web app. Is it possible to customize the CSS of the widget yet? If not, when can we expect to be able to (roughly)?
