Tender Updates: Discounts, Supporter Customization, Limits, Email Forwarding, User Pages & more!

Wow, has it really been more than a month since we wrote about Tender? Not to worry – we’ve been hard at work. If you haven’t visited Tender in a while, here’s some of the improvements we’ve rolled out recently…

Discounts for Lighthouse Users

Are you a Lighthouse customer? In addition to our awesome lighthouse-syncing, you’ll also notice that Lighthouse customers get a 15% discount for all Tender plans! Just select your plan and open up a new discussion on our Tender to get the discount applied.

Supporter Customization

We’ve added the ability to customize how supporters show up on your homepage. In the Support Staff section of the Admin area, you’ll see a new layout where you can enter in titles for Support Staff and toggle the ability to show them on the home page.

This feature helps if you have people who need access to the admin area, but don’t want to show their names on the homepage as support staff.

Plan Limits

Now that we’ve got billing up and running (thanks to all our paying customers!), we’ve started to beef up the notifications around your Tender usage. In addition to the Plans page, we’ve added a tooltip to the admin area to show your plan limits.

Email Forwarding & Heartbeats

Hooking up Tender with email is one of the best features in my opinion. In the past it’s been a little confusing to setup email forwarding, so we beefed up the forwarding setup process and added a new feature called heartbeats:

Heartbeats send test emails through the full stack every once in a while to make sure email is working properly. If you’ve setup forwarding incorrectly or there’s a problem somewhere along the email chain, the heartbeat will serve as an early warning sign.

User Pages

If you’re a supporter of a Tender, you get links to users who register on your site (or a link to their email address if they haven’t registered). Until recently, those pages kind of sucked. They’ve been beefed up and now you get something a little more pretty:
