We're back!

We're in the process of pushing the new Lighthouse 2.0. We're currently rsynching some data such as your uploads and avatars and also moving the database over. We expect to be back up before 6p.m. PST. Thanks for your patience. We'll keep you posted.

Update 5:02 PST: Database moved over. Data is still synching. It's possible we'll be back up in the next 30 minutes.

Update 5:30 PST: We're back! The DNS has changed, so until your ISP updates you can use YOURACCOUNT.v2.lighthouseapp.com to access your account.

    Hey, looking at the new site, noticed that even though I’m logged into a paid account, that “Got projects?” side box still appears. You guys might want to take a look at that.

    @Brenton Thanks for reporting that, I’ll take a look.

    Chris: I just popped a bottle of Bawls :)

    grobie: We needed to purge the graphics and simplify the design to allow Lighthouse to support your brand as opposed to ours among other things. We’ve got color themes and project logos coming soon.

    Brenton: I agree. No one noticed or mentioned it during the testing phase, but we’ll get that taken care of right away.

    Thanks everyone for the support.

    I’m fairly certain I’ve never been able to browse your users by id’s in the url’s before (when I’m logged in or out).

    Might want to check that one even though you can’t do anything… you can still see the other users and their icons etc.

    Or is this a feature? :X

    Have there been any changes with e-mail notification—or mass assigning watchers?

    I hate to be one of those people who say “roll it back” but I think the old design was leagues ahead of the upgrade.

    Apparently the flatness was to allow for color customization, but I don’t really see that being a very high priority.

    The reason I started to used Lighthouse over Trac or FogBugz was because it was stunning. Sometimes I would login to look at my tickets just to look at them, even though already knew what they said.

    I know there really is no going back at this point. I will continue to use it and give the redesign a shot, but I’m a little disappointed.

    Massive change, I like it!

    I like the new design. It looks “Simpler” Which is great for my non-IT customers using LightHouse for their bug reporting and feature requests. They probably will not be scared of by “shiny buttons”.

    I know, I know.. I probably I’m scary while instructing them how to use lighthouse, it’s probably not the application…. but anyway.

    Keep up the good work.

    btw. the Milestone completion graph rocks from a project manager’s perspective.

    The design is growing on me already. :-)

    This is probably not the right place to ask this but where has the ticket search gone? I can still see my saved bins but I can’t figure out where to make a new one. I’m on safari, btw.

    I’m sort of 50/50 over the new design. It’s growing on me, but I think I much preferred the header of the previous design (the name of the account just looks odd). Btw, while we’re on the subject of design, where are the controls for changing the colour of the account? I seem to remember these being listed as a new feature but I can’t find them anywhere.

    @Wilco: Thanks!

    @jereon: Awesome to hear! Ticket search is in the same place. Click the search icon in the navigation. After you’ve done your search you can create your bins when you see “Save search?”.

    @martin the color scheme changes are coming. I expect this to be in the next push coming this week likely.

    @PJ: \m/ Thanks dude

    Congratulations… I’m looking forward to playing with the update today and for the new features coming soon.

    Even after you told me where it was I couldn’t find the ticket search button. I was already filling out a bug when I finally saw the magnifying glass icon!

    I’m not sure why but it was dark grey, which doesn’t exactly make it stand out on the dark blue background. After a refresh it looks like I think it’s supposed to look, white.

  18. Justin Palmer Justin Palmer said on April 15th, 2008

    @jeroen I initially had the same thing happen. I think it’s just the browser holding onto an old cache.

  19. Andre Guedes Andre Guedes said on April 15th, 2008

    Could you please, increase the contrast on the pages… so much white is killing my eyes X(

    I’m a huge fan of this new style. Lighthouse 1.0 looked great, but Lighthouse 2.0 looks very modern.
